Apple TV has been on a hot streak with new movies, and the streamer keeps strengthening its future lineup too. Here are three new movies that, per reporting today, are now part of Apple’s upcoming film plans.
#1: Lance Armstrong biopic starring Austin Butler

Deadline reports that Apple Original Films has just won a very competitive contest for an untitled Lance Armstrong biopic.
Edward Berger (Conclave) is directing, with Austin Butler set to play Armstrong. Per the report:
The new film, which combines elements of F1: The Movie and Martin Scorsese’s Raging Bull and The Wolf of Wall Street, will cover the life and career of Armstrong, capturing all the highs and lows.
The current project will also mark the first time Armstrong has signed off on his life rights. Stuber and Armstrong have had a relationship for some time, and the producer made it clear to Armstrong they needed to tell everything or he didn’t want to do the film. After many discussions over a long period, Armstrong signed off on it.
Butler previously starred in Apple TV’s WWII drama Masters of the Air, which you can watch here.
#2: Holiday film ‘Foster the Snowman’ from acclaimed director Hikari

Apple appears keen to deliver a new holiday-themed film every year. Last year it was The Family Plan 2, and Spirited with Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell is a personal favorite.
Today Apple TV secured the director for its next holiday project: ‘Foster the Snowman.’
The film will be directed by Hikari, who most recently helmed the acclaimed Rental Family for Searchlight.
‘Foster’ has a story by Jono Matt & Peter Huyck (The Studio). Per Deadline:
The pitch is a high concept Christmas movie with a hero like Paddington, humor like Elf, and heart like It’s A Wonderful Life, per the scribes. A childless couple take an accelerated journey through every parenting milestone when they’re forced to adopt an adorable snowman, whose whole magical life will play out in just 72 hours.
The rights to the concept were secured by Apple last year, but now with a director on board, ‘Foster’ is officially moving toward production.
#3: ‘Once and Again’ from bestselling romance author Rebecca Serle

Apple has also reportedly won the rights to ‘Once and Again,’ the forthcoming romance novel from bestselling author Rebecca Serle.
Serle has written hits like In Five Years, One Italian Summer, and The Dinner List.
Here’s the plot summary for Once and Again via Deadline:
Billed as The Time Traveler’s Wife meets The Lakehouse, the story follows Lauren Novak, a Malibu native who left the beach behind for a picture-perfect marriage and life in Los Angeles. But as the relationship begins to crack and her husband gets a job in New York for the summer, Lauren finds herself back in the coastal town that shaped her, where she must contend not only with her parents and grandmother, but their most closely guarded secret: the women of the Novak family were born with a gift: Each of them can, just once, turn back time.
The book releases in hardcover soon on Tuesday, March 10, and you can pre-order it here.
