According to Nexon, the game has sold more than 4 million units worldwide. On Steam, it has reached a peak of 462,000 concurrent players, which already surpasses its previous record from the week before. Embark also confirmed that ARC Raiders reached more than 700,000 simultaneous players across all platforms combined, covering Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Epic Games Store, and GeForce NOW.

ARC Raiders is a multiplayer co-op extraction shooter built by Embark Studios, a team founded by veteran Battlefield developers. It blends PvP elements, resource gathering, and high-risk, high-reward decision-making with constant pressure from ARC machines. These robots roam the map and introduce environmental danger that ramps up the longer you stay in a match. Enemy types vary widely, from small football-sized threats to towering machines that can flatten you in seconds, along with airborne drones that keep you on edge.

It is still early days for the game, but Embark has already announced post-launch content. A new map, community event, additional enemies, quests, and items are all arriving in November. Another update is planned for December, which adds a new snow-based map condition, more events, and a fresh battle pass with new quests.

I have been thoroughly enjoying ARC Raiders with friends, and even on my own. Not everyone you meet in-game is friendly, but the moments when they happen do tend to stand out.
