Area students talk science at SCC | Daily Gate City – Keokuk, Iowa

More than 200 students from Southeast Iowa middle and high schools presented their projects during the Southeast Iowa Super Conference (SEISC) Science Fair Thursday, March 5 in the Loren Walker Arena of the Southeastern Community College campus in West Burlington.

The sixth through twelfth grade science students have been working for months, many since last spring, on their research and experiments.

They presented their work involving STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) research on big display boards, and explained their experiments to a variety of judges for the region.

The students had lunch and networked in the hallways before the winners were announced.

The winners will advance to the regional science fair in Cedar Rapids later this year.
