The Armenian delegation led by Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan, who is on an official visit to Greece, met on December 1 with President of the Hellenic Republic Konstantinos Tassoulas.
Thanking the Greek side for the warm reception, Simonyan emphasized the importance of such meetings for the further development of bilateral relations. President Tassoulas, in turn, expressed gratitude to the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament for the official visit, noting that Armenia is one of Greece’s important partners.
The sides discussed prospects for deepening Armenian-Greek cooperation, Armenia-EU relations, as well as the democratic reforms underway in Armenia.
Regional developments and the ongoing peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan were also touched upon during the meeting.
