The Fall-Winter 2026 Louis Vuitton collection by Nicolas Ghesquière references nature as the greatest fashion designer. Pulling references from the natural world—like mountains, forests, and plains—clothing evolved in response to interactions with our climate and surroundings.
Located at the Cour Carrée of the Musée du Louvre, an abstract neo-landscape designed by production designer Jeremy Hindle from the hit TV show Severance creates an atmosphere with abstract prisms and pyramids. Models move through this futuristic ecosystem, revealing a collection that is both experimental and curious.

“Like traditional costumes, these clothes are shaped by how people have lived, by our sense of belonging, and fundamental truths, past and present,” reads the show notes. Fused into the pieces is a sense of folklore, where striking avant-garde silhouettes take shape.
But there is also a sense of playfulness. Bags are humorously carried on walking sticks, capes are shown with exaggerated shoulders, oversized sailor hats attract a lot of attention, and furs are plentiful in the form of shrugs and vests. The Noé bag returns to its original 1932 proportions and colour. Meanwhile, buttons look like minerals and heels resemble antlers. Leather is grained, grooved, and tanned to mirror wood. All of this suggests that the Louis Vuitton woman is prepared to confront and immerse herself in the wilderness.
