After bombing out of DreamLeague Season 27 in 17th-21st place just a couple of months ago, Aurora Gaming have come back with a vengeance in DreamLeague Season 28. Coming out of the first stage with an impressive 12-2 scoreline, Aurora have continued their success today by taking down Team Falcons in a very convincing way.

Aside from their FISSURE Universe Episode 8 win, it’s been a long time since Aurora has been a contender for a top 4 finish but now that S tier Dota has become so competitive at the top, they’re clearly here to stake a claim.
Falcons fall
Sure, Falcons were probably out drafted in game 1, but they also went on to allow Aurora to pick up 3/5 of the same heroes in match 2 and it went pretty much how I expected.
| Player | Game 1 | Game 2 |
| Nightfall | Ursa | Ursa |
| Lorenof | Viper | Razor |
| Ws | Centaur | Mars |
| Mira | Lion | Lion |
| Kaori | Jakiro | Jakiro |
The TI14 winners haven’t exactly fallen off since last year and you could be forgiven for thinking that Team Falcons should have made short work of Aurora coming into this series. But Aurora never looked uncomfortable, even when going up against Malr1ne’s Primal Beast and ATF’s Bristleback and Mars across the series. In fact, it really should have been Nightfall’s Ursa that probably should have earned a respect ban after game 1.
A lot has to be said for how Aurora have levelled up their team fights since adding Chung “Ws” Wei Shen to the roster. The team coordination beyond their laning and farming came in clutch when fights broke out time and time again as they caught Falcons at off guard at almost every turn and a 40k gold lead 40 minutes into the game is something to behold.
