A dazzling array of slot machines and gaming tables will greet first arrivals at a city centre casino this weekend when doors open at a new-look entertainment hub which is out to bring a touch of Las Vegas style to Newcastle. As previously reported, the former Aspers at The Gate in the city centre is now Bally’s Casino following a takeover by an American company which marks a UK first.
And a sneak peek inside before Saturday’s big launch party shows what Bally’s Corporation – described as a global leader in the gaming industry – brings to Newcastle’s social scene. It is embracing that local scene too, with plans already in the pipeline for a special evening with Newcastle United legend Shay Given who will be taking part in a question-and-answer event there on March 21.
