(SALT LAKE CITY, UT.) – A Batesville native is hoping to receive community support as she plans to record new music this summer.
Emily Hicks lives in Utah and is a Country/Americana singer-songwriter. She has released several songs in the past which you can listen to here.
Hicks has launched a crowdfunding campaign that will allow her to record new music in Nashville in June.
“As an independent artist, I handle every part of my career—from writing and performing to recording, releasing, and promoting my music. Crowdfunding allows me to create this EP at a professional level while staying fully independent and creatively in control,” Hicks said.
Donations will go toward recording and production, studio musicians, CD production, shipping and promotions.
“Getting to write, record, and perform my own music is a privilege I don’t take for granted. My career exists solely because of people like you who believe in what I’m making and choose to support it – especially in moments like this,” Hicks said.
