Bayern Munich News: Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur to battle FC Bayern for Anderlecht’s Nathan De Cat?

Bayern Munich has been loosely linked to Anderlecht midfielder phenom Nathan De Cat for months, but if the Bavarians wants the 17-year-old, they might have to outbid both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, plus several of its Bundesliga foes:

Manchester United are rivalling Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich for sensational Belgian talent Nathan De Cat, according to a report.

De Cat is a 17-year-old central midfielder who has already broken into the Anderlecht starting eleven despite his tender age. He has made 36 appearances in all competitions so far this term, chipping in with three goals and five assists. De Cat is emerging as a superb deep-lying playmaker. He possesses fantastic game intelligence, vision, close control and composure, while he is also an imposing figure, standing at 6ft 4in tall.

The teenager is one of the best young players Anderlecht have ever produced, and he is being lined up for a major summer transfer. German outlet Fussball Daten report that it is the ‘Bundesliga vs the Premier League’ in the race for De Cat.

Germany’s biggest clubs are vying for De Cat, having identified him as an ‘elite-level talent’. Man Utd and Spurs will face competition from the likes of Bayern, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig for his capture. The report states that United, Spurs and Bayern are among the sides plotting ‘blockbuster offers’ to prise De Cat away from Anderlecht.

The Belgian outfit will only ‘consider serious offers worth €30-35m’ (£26-30m) to sell their academy graduate.

Bayern Munich has been linked to De Cat and Kennet Eichhorn more than a few times…which means it will be someone else we are not expecting.

Inter Milan could be poised to take a run at bringing Kim Min-jae back to Italy this summer:

✅ It is TRUE: Inter Milan are interested in Kim Min-jae. Inter, however, aren’t the only club; AC Milan are also watching the South Korean international. They’re thinking about Kim, but at the moment, I’m not sure if he himself wants a transfer. At the moment, he’s quite comfortable with his current role at Bayern Munich. Chelsea have also knocked on his door, but Bayern say they are fine with the situation. If there is an offer of €30m [£26m] or €40m [£34.5m], they can have talks, but there is no offer on the table. Kim Min-jae also has no intention of asking the club bosses for a transfer. So, at the moment, it’s a little bit quiet. But it’s true that these clubs are interested in him, as he’s doing a very good job at the moment as the backup defender behind Jonathan Tah and Dayot Upamecano.

After a lot of back-and-forth, it appears that the transfer of Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Rocco Reitz to RB Leipzig will go down this summer:

🚨💥 EXCLUSIVE | Rocco #Reitz to RB Leipzig – DONE DEAL ✔️

23 y/o captain will join RB in the summer after an agreement with Borussia M’gladbach. Contract signed until 2031. €20m guaranteed, plus a further €3m in possible bonuses.

Good deal for both sides, as the €25m release clause was not seen as market-appropriate. Schröder can invest. Schäfer gets his desired midfielder.

Surprising exclusive news from 18 January, now set to become official in the next 24 hours.

Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany is reportedly a fan of young midfielder David Santos Daiber:

Vincent Kompany estimates that David Santos Daiber makes hardly any mistakes, picks up the balls in the center and distributes them. He has been training with the pros all season already.

In the winter, there were already initial offers from the Bundesliga for Daiber. Clubs would have liked to sign him with a view to the future, but Daiber is currently still finishing his Abitur in Munich. His contract runs until 2027, but an extension is in the works, with the option of a loan.

Santos Daiber, of course, is out with an injury at the moment (via FCBayern.com):

Nineteen-year-old midfielder David Santos Daiber has suffered a thigh muscle injury and will be sidelined for the FC Bayern U19 team for the time being. Santos, who joined FC Bayern from TSV Milbertshofen in 2016, has made 16 appearances for the U19s this season in the Youth League and the DFB Youth League (scoring one goal). He also recently played for the reserves in the Regionalliga (two appearances) and has already had two Bundesliga appearances. The Portuguese U19 international made his debut at the end of December against 1. FC Heidenheim (4-0) and also came on as a substitute in the Bundesliga match against Borussia Mönchengladbach on matchday 25 (4-1).

Arsenal could be looking to make a play for RB Leipzig defender Castello Lukeba:

The report suggests that the Gunners are one of several teams looking at the France center back, with Bayern Munich also in the picture. The 23-year-old has a contract with Leipzig until 2029, while the Bundesliga club values his transfer at around €60 million.
