One of the big incentives for Tom Bischof to leave Hoffenheim in favor of Bayern Munich was the chance to play in the Champions League. Clearly, the opportunity to compete at the highest level is intriguing to the young midfielder.
“We expect Atalanta Bergamo to give their all. They will attack down the wings, they have fast players there – and for us nothing changes, we want to win the game,” said Bischof (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).

Bischof, who played in the Europa League with Hoffenheim, can see a marked difference in the game day atmosphere.
“The difference to the Europa League is that it’s something completely different: the pace, the quality. It’s like comparing FC Bayern training to the sessions in Hoffenheim, you have to be faster. The Champions League was my dream, to be on the pitch with the best, the anthem alone is a notch above,” Bischof said.
Because Konrad Laimer is a yellow card away from a suspension, Bischof could be thrust into the role of left-back ahead of the Atalanta match.
