ZT details his 3PM prop bets for Saturday, including bets for Tristan da Silva, Ayo Dosunmu, Max Christie and Russell Westbrook.
On Saturday, the NBA has seven games spread throughout the afternoon and evening. Five of the 14 teams in action are finishing back-to-back games and four more have another game on Sunday. There are several fun games and enjoyable matchups, but let’s zoom out and take a look at the entire slate as we find some fun three-point prop bets to ride with this Saturday. My top three-point prop bets for Saturday’s slate include plays for Tristan da Silva, Ayo Dosunmu, Max Christie and Russell Westbrook.
Normally, I try to target low three-point prop totals so they can hit quickly, either early or late, without needing much build-up. I also usually play these props in a round-robin style so that even if they don’t all hit, they still carry solid returns.
Breaking down the numbers and matchups, here is why I like these four three-point props on Saturday.
Top three-point prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Tristan da Silva over 1.5 3PM (-182)
In the first game of the NBATV early doubleheader on Saturday, the Magic welcome in the Knicks in an Eastern Conference matchup. The Magic have been without Paolo Banchero since they faced the Knicks in New York last Wednesday, and da Silva has stepped up into a larger role in the four games since then.
He has started all four of those games and is averaging 32.8 minutes per contest. He has hit multiple three-point shots in each of those games, with at least three threes in four contests and a high point of five 3PM against the Nets last Friday.
If you want to be more aggressive, da Silva to hit 3+ 3PM is a juicy +167, but if you’re building a parlay or looking for a more sure pick, I feel pretty confident he should be able to hit the over on this prop line as long as he stays in such a key role.
Ayo Dosunmu over 1.5 3PM (-132)
The Bulls are at home in a great matchup against the Wizards, and they’ll be looking to bounce back after getting absolutely crushed by the Heat on Friday. The Heat ended up winning in a landslide, 143-107. Dosunmu played 33 minutes in his first start of the year, and he could remain in the lineup again on Saturday since he’s been one of the most productive Bulls lately.
Even in their loss, Dosunmu had 23 points, including three made three-pointers. He has hit multiple three-pointers in five of his last six games and has raised his average to 1.9 3PM per game on the year.
If he gets another start, Dosunmu should have a good shot at multiple three-pointers once again, especially against Washington. The Wizards have allowed the most points per game to their opponents this season and have the lowest defensive rating. The Bulls should be lined up to put up plenty of points on Saturday, and in that environment, Dosunmu has good potential to hit multiple shots from long range.
Max Christie over 2.5 3PM (+124)
Christie has been a key part of the Mavericks’ backcourt this season while the team has dealt with all kinds of injuries. D’Angelo Russell (illness) missed Friday’s game, which opened up even more work for Christie, who finished with 23 points in the team’s comeback win over the Pelicans.
The Mavs will try to make it two wins in a row as they host the Grizzlies, who have also been wiped out by injuries to key players. Christie made five three-pointers in Friday’s win, and he has made at least three three-point shots in six of his last seven games.
He had one strangely quiet performance in a blowout loss to the Timberwolves when he played just 19 minutes, but as long as he’s poised for his typical workload on Saturday, he should be ready to chip in at least three threes to go over this plus-money prop on Saturday night. If Russell remains out, this becomes an even better play, but I’ll definitely take these odds even if Russell is back in the mix.
Russell Westbrook over 1.5 3PM (-133)
Westbrook has been one of the few bright spots for the Kings this season, and now he’ll have to pick up more of the offense with Domantas Sabonis (knee) for a while.
Westbrook is averaging 2.1 3PM per game this season, and he has made multiple three-point shots in seven of his last 10 games. He faced the Nuggets in Denver 10 games ago, and he went off for 26 points and three three-pointers.
In the late game, Russ and the Kings will be back in Denver again on Saturday night for a rematch against his former team, the Nuggets, and Westbrook has a good chance at hitting multiple threes once again. The Kings may have to take a look at their younger guards at some point this season, but for now, it still looks like Westbrook, Dennis Schroder and Malik Monk will carry most of the scoring load while Sabonis is sidelined.
