Top NBA player prop bets
Noah Clowney Over 15.5 Points (-104)
Noah Clowney has scored at least 16 points in three straight games, despite Michael Porter Jr. being active for all these contests. But Porter (rest) will hit the sidelines Monday night, alongside standout rookie Egor Demin (foot). With both players off the floor, Clowney leads the Nets with an impressive 21.8% usage rate, a 1.4-percentage-point lift from his average.
Clowney is averaging 17.7 points per 36 minutes with both Porter Jr. and Demin off the court. He should have another strong showing against Memphis, which is expected to be limited to only eight healthy players for Monday’s matchup.
Kris Dunn Under 6.5 Points (-128)
With Darius Garland and Bennedict Mathurin now integrated into the Clippers’ rotation, Kris Dunn has been very quiet. He has finished with six, four and zero points in his last three games. That scoreless outing came Saturday against the Grizzlies, Garland’s first start in a Los Angeles uniform. Sharing the first unit with Garland, Dunn only logged 22 minutes in a game that was decided by three points. He ranked last among the Clippers’ starters in usage rate at 9.3%.
With Garland and Mathurin in the mix, Dunn’s reduced role should be the expectation going forward. He should struggle to make an impact against a stout Knicks defense that ranks sixth in defensive rating this season.
Quentin Grimes Over 4.5 Rebounds (+117)
Grimes has impressed over three games in Philadelphia’s starting lineup, recording two, five, and six rebounds. In his most recent start, the wing led the 76ers with a season-high 41 minutes. Tyrese Maxey, who played that game, will join Joel Embiid and Paul George on the sidelines Monday night against the Cavaliers.
Grimes should continue to garner an expanded role versus a Cleveland team that ranks 12th in pace — and he has a strong chance to clear 4.5 rebounds with heavy volume. Grimes is averaging 5.3 rebounds per 36 minutes with Maxey, Embiid, and George off the floor this season. He’s also averaging 5.8 boards per contest over the last five games in which he logged over 30 minutes.
