Bethel Music have appeared on Fox News to perform their song The Blood.
Worship leaders Jenn Johnson and David Funk led the song on Fox & Friends as part of the programme’s ‘Faith and Friends’ concert series.
The appearance split opinion on social media.
“What an incredible song to be proclaimed to the masses. It is the blood of Jesus that transforms that heals and reconciles us,” replied pastor and former adult performer, Joshua Broome.
Another user responded to comments that were critical of Bethel for appearing on the network, which is traditionally right-leaning: “For those with negative comments about them being on Fox News, because you disapprove of Fox News for whatever reason, how about we just be grateful that they’re proclaiming the Gospel to the masses on a mainstream news network???”
Over recent months, Bethel Church has been embroiled in an abuse scandal related to affiliated pastor Shawn Bolz, and has also been dealing with allegations of sexual assault made against pastor Ben Armstrong.
