A Legislative Auditor Advisory Committee meeting was held Thursday where the fiscal administrator for Bogalusa gave an update on the city’s financial health. According to the fiscal administrator’s report, Bogalusa is making progress when it comes to improving its finances. The city has started getting its sewer issues fixed, and the auditor’s office received the city’s 2022 audit. The fiscal administrator also reported progress being made on getting a budget passed, which hasn’t happened in recent years, and organizing its accounts payable and receivable. The fiscal administrator is expected to provide another update next quarter.
