BOK Financial names Michael Katz Colorado market CEO


DENVER — has named as its new Colorado market CEO, the company announced.

Katz joined BOK Financial in 2024 as a senior advisor based in Denver, where he focused on business development and internal talent growth. He brings 35 years of experience in , including leadership roles in corporate and commercial banking, structured finance, credit administration and treasury management.

“Mike brings a rare combination of deep industry expertise and a collaborative leadership style,” said David Stratton, regional banking executive for BOK Financial. “He is well-positioned to help us serve customers across Colorado and strengthen our impact in the communities we serve.”

As Colorado market CEO, Katz will oversee the company’s banking operations in the state and guide continued growth efforts.

“BOK Financial is doing remarkable things in Colorado and beyond,” Katz said. “I am honored to be part of the organization and excited to continue building momentum in this market.”

Katz is active in the Denver community and serves on the Denver Metro Chamber Economic Development Board. He has previously held board and advisory roles with several nonprofit organizations, including United Way, Junior Achievement, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Colorado Concern and the Denver Leadership Foundation.

Outside of work, Katz enjoys golf, basketball, skiing, mountain biking and reading presidential biographies.
