On Friday night, the Boston Celtics played the New Orleans Pelicans (at home).

The Celtics won by a score of 144-118.

Payton Pritchard finished with 21 points, three rebounds, ten assists and one steal while shooting 7/14 from the field and 5/9 from three-point range in 30 minutes of playing time.

Pritchard also made NBA history with his strong performance.

Pritchard is having a productive year for Boston.

The former Oregon star came into the night with averages 17.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 5.2 assists per contest while shooting 46.4% from the field and 37.7% from three-point range in 78 games.

Pritchard’s NBA Career

Pritchard had a fantastic college career that led to him being selected with the 26th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

He has spent all six years of his career playing for Boston.

The 2025 6th Man of The Year has career averages of 10.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per contest while shooting 45.7% from the field and 39.3% from three-point range in 425 games.

Celtics Right Now

The Celtics are the second seed in the Eastern Conference with a 55-26 record in 81 games.

They have won eight out of their last ten games (and are 29-11 at home).

Following the Pelicans, the Celtics will play their final game of the 2026 regular season when they host the Orlando Magic on Sunday.

The Celtics are coming off a year where they lost to the New York Knicks in the second round of the 2025 NBA playoffs (in six games).

That said, they won the 2024 title (and have been to the NBA Finals twice since 2022).
