Brad Pitt Filming The Riders in Greece as Hollywood Production Moves to Hydra Greek City Times

Hollywood star Brad Pitt was seen enjoying the Mediterranean sunshine while filming scenes for his upcoming drama The Riders in Greece.

The 62-year-old actor was photographed stepping off a small boat in Nea Makri, where production crews are shooting several scenes for the project.

Pitt appeared relaxed and cheerful as he waved to cameras while filming. He wore a pale blue wool jumper layered with a darker blue zip jacket, paired with matching trousers featuring multiple buttoned pockets.

Filming Moves Across Greece

Production for The Riders has been taking place in several locations, including the scenic island of Hydra, known for its picturesque streets and historic architecture.

In other scenes filmed on Hydra, Pitt was seen in a dramatically different look, covered in fake blood and bruises while carrying a child actress out of a pharmacy during an intense sequence.

The actor sported a rugged appearance for the scene, with a long moustache, stubble, and soaked hair as part of his character’s look.

Story Behind The Riders

The series is based on the acclaimed novel The Riders by Australian author Tim Winton and is directed by Edward Berger.

Pitt plays a father desperately searching across Europe for his missing wife and daughter in a story that blends emotional drama with suspense.

Filming first began in Ireland before moving to Greece for additional scenes.

Pitt Arrives in Greece With Partner

Pitt arrived in Greece earlier this year with his partner Ines de Ramon, marking one of the couple’s first public appearances together in several months.

The pair, who have been dating since 2022, have largely kept their relationship private following Pitt’s highly publicised divorce from Angelina Jolie.

Greece Becomes a Major Filming Location
The production of The Riders has brought renewed attention to Greece as a major destination for international film and television projects. The country’s dramatic landscapes, historic towns and Mediterranean coastline have increasingly attracted large-scale Hollywood productions.
Hydra, in particular, has become a favourite location for filmmakers due to its preserved architecture, car-free streets and stunning harbour views. Local authorities and residents have reportedly welcomed the production, which is expected to bring significant economic benefits and international exposure to the island.
Film crews and equipment have been spotted across several parts of the island, with locals sharing photos of the Hollywood star as filming continues.
A High-Profile Adaptation
The Riders is considered one of the most anticipated upcoming television dramas. The project is an adaptation of Australian author Tim Winton’s award-winning novel, which follows a man travelling across Europe in search of his missing family.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Edward Berger, known for his work on major international productions, the series is expected to feature multiple European filming locations, with Greece playing a central role in the story’s visual backdrop.
With Brad Pitt leading the cast, the production has generated significant buzz both in Hollywood and across Europe.
Filming in Greece is expected to continue for several weeks before the production moves to additional locations for the remainder of the shoot.
