It’s QD-OLED, so you’re getting incredibly lifelike picture quality with brilliant contrast and color, and it features a 240Hz refresh rate with 0.03ms response time, for high fps gaming. On top of that, you’ve got AMD FreeSync Premium, meaning you’re getting low-framerate compensation and smoother performance when fps dips, alongside all the usual anti-stuttering and screen tearing technology, too. Overall, it’s an excellent monitor that doesn’t completely break the bank, but does tick all the boxes for a wide variety of 1440p gaming setups.

If you’re after lifelike picture quality, then you need a gaming monitor with both excellent contrast and exceptional color, and that’s where QD-OLED monitors reign supreme. These monitors are ideal if you’re playing more atmospheric or graphically impressive games and want to showcase them at their best. Used in lower light environments, they can really up the immersion, too.
240Hz and 0.03ms response time
This refresh rate allows for up to 240fps, which is high enough for competitive gaming and allows for super smooth, fluid gameplay. What’s more, its response time is very low, which doesn’t mean it’s more ‘responsive’ but rather that pixels can change color very quickly. What that means is that you’re not going to get much in the way of ghosting or motion blur, which is ideal if you’re looking to keep track of what’s happening on screen.
99% DCI-P3 and Delta E<2 color accuracy
For video editors and those who want to watch films looking as close to how the Director intended them to look, this is a big win. Having almost 100% DCI-P3 means that this monitor can reproduce a much wider color range than your standard 100% sRGB displays. That’s great for video editors, as it gives you more to work with and you’re operating in the same standard they use in the film industry. Delta E<2 color accuracy means that colors on this monitor will look practically indistinguishable from real life to the human eye, too.
1440p and 26.5 inches
In short, if you go too large at lower resolutions, you start losing picture quality and clarity, which is why something like a 32-inch FHD monitor wouldn’t be our first choice. At 1440p and around 27-inches, you’ve got the sweet spot; not too big that it reduces clarity and detail, but not too small that it makes the monitor less versatile for other usages.
Things to consider
This is a great monitor for the price, but there are many alternatives with similar specs from other brands that would be worth looking at, too. I always say that Samsung Odyssey gaming monitors deliver on both style and performance, and would be my pick if I was looing for something with a sort of work/ play aesthetic. ASUS ROG gaming monitors would be the way to go if you want to pay a premium, but grab something higher-end, with a more Cyberpunk look and feel. MSI monitors strike a good balance between performance, price, and design, and they’re often on sale.
