If you don’t already have a dramatic, floor-length coat in your closet, please allow Brooks Nader to demonstrate precisely why this staple outerwear piece remains a must-have.
The model and reality TV star—whose Hulu show Love Thy Nader was renewed for a second season at the end of last year after a successful eight-episode run—took to New York Fashion Week on Thursday, Feb. 12, where she was spotted out and about in a look that absolutely demands to be replicated.
Merging spring transitional pieces with winter-ready staples, Nader’s base consisted of high-waisted black shorts and a ruffled white blouse, which she left unbuttoned for a peek of skin. She accessorized further with a pair of semi-sheer black tights, a gold tassel necklace, dark sunglasses and classic black pumps. Still, there’s no denying the star of the outfit was the plush, silk-lined cream-colored fur coat she layered over the top. With its maxi-length hem hovering just above the New York City streets, the piece added plenty of drama and flair, resulting in a fantastic final silhouette.
Nader embraced a spring-friendly pink palette for her makeup look, her glam comprising matte skin, rosy cheeks and a glossy lip. She parted her long, honey-blonde tresses down the middle, keeping it sleek, shiny and straight for a voluminous blow-out—and it makes sense that her hair was given a little extra thought, as hair has definitely been on her mind quite a bit this week!
As noted above, Nader wore this pre-spring look to attend a couple of NYFW events, including a celebration of her recent partnership with John Frieda US for its “Hot Hair Hotline” campaign alongside her sisters and Love Thy Nader costars, Sarah Jane, Grace Ann and Mary Holland.
With regards to the collaboration, John Frieda US’s director of marketing, Marissa Vallillo, told WWD, “The Nader Sisters embody the confidence and relatability we wanted to bring into this next chapter. Their dynamic feels real, their hair is iconic and their approach to beauty is solution-driven rather than aspirational in an unattainable way—which made them a natural fit for the brand.”
The stylish sisters clearly share this sentiment, telling the outlet that their mother used the brand’s products as they were growing up, with Nader adding, “It’s such a fond memory of ours. It’s just something that’s nostalgic to us, and so to be able to partner with them and shoot this amazing campaign and celebrate, it’s sort of a big full-circle, pinch-me moment.”
