HOLIDAY TAKEOVER: Nothing could stop Brunello Cucinelli‘s good mood on Monday, not even the dreadful British weather.
Ahead of being honored with the Outstanding Achievement Award on Monday night at the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Italian fashion designer and entrepreneur led a pack of well-dressed guests arriving at Harrods in the morning for the official unveiling of the Christmas window display “A Visionary Dream You Can Touch.”
For the holiday season, the brand is taking over 21 windows at Harrods with a series of exclusive designs and a fantasy narrative inspired by Solomeo, the company’s home in Umbria.

There are also two themed pop-ups near the sixth and ninth doors of the department store, while in the pedestrian area near Hans Crescent, a Christmas tree nearly 20 feet high is on display. The tree recalls a spool of cashmere thread and is topped with Solomeo’s heraldic emblem. There are clouds meant to represent dreams, and myriad twinkling lights conjuring starry skies.
As soon as Cucinelli arrived, he put on a friendly smile and started engaging with the audience. He then walked hand in hand with Harrods Green Men and toured the department store, checking out the holiday pop-ups before heading to the Harrods Dining Hall for an intimate breakfast.
As guests sipped morning beverages and munched on miniature breakfast items, Cucinelli gave a passionate speech about the importance of searching for soul, learning outside of school, and connecting on a human level.

In addition to the windows and pop-ups, the brand is offering pieces exclusive to Harrods, including casual outerwear styles in cashmere or shearling, and sweaters and cardigans in the brand’s signature soft neutrals.
For women, there are handmade knitwear, cashmere dresses, and coordinated sets and pieces from the ultra-high-end Opera collection. The seasonal motif, Croc Embroidery, features a three-dimensional texture for eveningwear and gala pieces.
