Baker Mayfield was on an MVP trajectory early in the season, but those conversations have dissipated in recent weeks. This is not to say that the 30-year-old has not played well, but he certainly has not been as prolific as he was to open the season, which has plenty to do with injuries all over the Bucs’ offense.
Mayfield threw for 173 yards and a touchdown in Tampa Bay’s loss to Buffalo, also throwing his third interception of the year. The week prior, he threw for 273 yards and three scores in a home loss to New England.
Overall, Mayfield has thrown for 2,365 yards with 17 touchdowns and the three picks.
