As far as budget-oriented CPUs go, this is a great option for gaming, productivity, and multitasking. It has 10 cores (6P +4E), which makes it a good option for gaming and streaming, or running background applications like Discord or OMS, for example, and its 4.6GHz boost clock speed and 20MB L3 cache are good for FHD gaming at high fps with low frame latency, too. As a workstation, with its decent amount of E cores, it’s pretty adept at handling multithreaded workloads, like those found when using Blender, Adobe Premiere Pro, and other popular editing applications. For video editors, rendering should feel quite snappy, making it a good pick for content creators sticking to a budget.
RX 9060 XT 8GB graphics card
This is, from a price-to-performance perspective, one of the best graphics cards you can get for 1080p on a budget, with pre-builts often hovering well under $1,000 in most cases. It has 8GB of GDDR6, a 128-bit bus, and 2,048 cores, and is generally faster than the RTX 5060 in terms of raw performance, but not quite as good when it comes to AI-enhanced gaming and ray tracing. It does, however, feature FSR 4 and improved ray tracing cores, as it’s built on the newer RDNA 4 architecture, so it does have decent capabilities in this regard. This is the type of graphics card you’ll want to go for if you want to game in 1080p at ultra settings and lean towards esports and competitive titles, and for the price, it’s a solid offering.

RAM and storage
This PC features a 1TB SSD, which is pretty decent for most people, especially for smaller gaming libraries, but where it really stands out is its 32GB of DDR5. This is brilliant to find at this price range, and it’s an amount of RAM that will give you plenty of headroom for more demanding games and allows you to edit large files without your system grinding to a halt. That’s important for video and photo editing, in particular.
Things to consider
As mentioned, the main competition here is the RTX 5060, which you may want to consider if you’re after more recent, future-proof technology, like GDDR7 VRAM, and better AI and ray tracing capabilities from its 4th-gen ray tracing cores and 5th-gen tensor cores. Personally, I think this RX 9060 XT is better overall value, as from my experience, RTX 5060 prebuilds that dip closer to $1,000 have pretty uninspiring CPUs and RAM, which defeats the point of going for something ‘newer’ in many senses. If you are considering an RTX 5060 prebuild, go for one that’s closer to $1,200, as these generally have newer processors and DDR5. ABS, in particular, has a best seller like this, which is currently on sale, if you’re curious.
