Local promoter Shadebeast is putting on a show featuring three heavy rock bands. Music Hates You is a rock band infused with the energy of stoner metal and hardcore, originally formed by Noah Ray, Zackery M. Hembree, Forest Hetland and Greg Carlson. The band debuted with Drugs in 2001, an entirely self-made album with only a few physical copies in existence, and since then has become known for its live performances, which it describes as “a hurricane of sweat, blood, spit, whiskey and shattered equipment.” Marses, a heavy rock band, will be playing the show to celebrate its album release. Marses currently has two singles out on Bandcamp called “I eat a Pony” and “shitknife.” Finally, heavy weirdo rock band Volt will round out the bill.
