The Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards (CAFA) is bringing its 12th annual gala to Montreal for the first time on April 23.

The move highlights Montreal’s long-standing influence on Canadian fashion. Historically known as the centre of the country’s textile and apparel industry, the city remains a vibrant hub for manufacturers, textile innovators, design houses, and both emerging and established brands.
According to CAFA president and co-founder Vicky Milner, bringing the gala to Montreal underscores the organisation’s focus on honouring regions across Canada where creativity and craftsmanship continue to thrive. She noted that Montreal’s deep industrial roots and design talent make it a natural home for the 2026 celebration.
The 2026 CAFA Gala will continue its tradition of celebrating excellence across the fashion industry, bringing together designers, artists, innovators and leaders from Canada and around the world. Additional programming details, including the official venue, will be shared in the coming months.
