Oneida County OKs budget with 2.9% property tax levy hike
The Oneida County Board of Legislators approved the 2026 county budget on Wednesday.
The $561.4 million budget includes a 2.9% increase to the property tax levy — the first of its kind in 13 years.
According to the county, the budget appropriates $149.4 million in sales tax revenue, $26.3 million in Oneida Indian Nation revenue and the capital plan retires $17.6 million in debt while taking on just $13 million in new borrowing for critical projects.
