Robyn Returns With Video for New Song ‘Dopamine’: Watch

Singer worked with longtime collaborator Klas Åhlund on the euphoric dance number At long last, Robyn has returned. The Swedish dance-pop genius is back with “Dopamine,” her first original solo single since 2018’s Honey. The buoyant song was produced by her longtime collaborator Klas Åhlund. Like the best of Robyn’s catalog, “Dopamine” is a euphoric dance floor banger that pulsates with a hypnotic beat. In the Marili Andre-directed video, the singer dances her way through the high and the rain. “Everyone has a phone where they see their heart rate, and we’re learning how to decode our emotions through the hormones and chemical substances in our bodies,” she said in a statement. “It’s almost like we don’t even accept that we’re human anymore, like we’re trying ...

Aristocrat has mixed year-end outcome, analyst says — CDC Gaming

Fiscal-year results for 2025 at Aristocrat Leisure were “relatively in line … although divisionally mixed,” according to Jefferies Equity Research analyst Kai Erman. He shared his views in a pair of investor notes, filed November 11 and 12. Aristocrat’s social-casino warhorse, Product Madness, came out ahead of expectations. This, Erman said, offset other online underperformances. There were also 1,611 installations of leased machines that “should draw attention,” per the Jefferies analyst. Outright sales of gambling devices stood at 13,400, including what appeared to be a strong United States performance. Erman attributed the latter to better Aristocrat market share and especially to product launches, such as the Baron line of cabinets. Following the November 11 earnings call, Erman revis...

With the Steam Machine, Valve May Be Defining the Next Generation of Games

After more than a decade, Valve is launching a new Steam Machine. While this little gaming PC is exciting on its own, it's also the next step in Valve’s play to become the face of PC gaming – at least more than it already is. Because alongside the Steam Machine, Valve is also launching a new controller and the Steam Frame, a VR headset that itself runs on SteamOS. Combined with the Steam Deck, Valve now has the makings of its own gaming tech ecosystem. But this didn’t happen overnight. This is an ecosystem Valve has been quietly working on for more than a decade. And now that it’s starting to look like the next generation of ‘consoles’ is going to look more like gaming PCs than ever, it’s the perfect time for Steam to assert itself as the face of PC gaming. What's in an Ecosystem? When I talk...

I’m Nerding Out Over The Super Mario Galaxy Movie’s References To Other Nintendo Games

The first trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie just dropped, and fans now have a better idea of what the famous plumbers and their friends are up to in the sequel sequel to the box office hit. I expected to see iconic characters like Rosalina and diverse planets, as both are in the acclaimed Wii game the film is (at least somewhat) adapted from. What I didn't expect to see, though, were big references to other Mario-fronted games, though I guess I should have given the first movie in this franchise. Some may remember that The Super Mario Bros. Movie features a nod to Luigi's spookier spinoff, Luigi's Mansion, and it lays the groundwork for a Donkey Kong Country film. I'm assuming Galaxy Movie will have more references than have been revealed thus far. Nevertheless, here are two major no...

Miss That Music Venue? 5 Places to Catch a Similar Vibe

We miss these bygone venues just as much as you do. But you can catch a similar vibe at these places. Vera “Velma” Hernandez Earlier this year, we published a story detailing the seven bygone Dallas music venues we miss the most. Then, we braced for the comments.Surprisingly, they were quite positive. People seemed to agree that the Bronco Bowl and the Lizard Lounge are some of the finest cultural institutions our city has ever produced. Even the detractors were kind, pointing out that we missed the chance to highlight hallowed favorites like Gypsy Tea Room while declining to insult our intelligence, our street cred or our mothers. To acknowledge these oversights — and to keep moving forward in the stages of grief — we put together a new list: The...

I’ve transformed HyperX’s Pulsefire Saga Pro into my dream gaming mouse with the power of 3D printing, and you can too with this early Black Friday deal

I'm the type of PC player who holds onto a gaming mouse longer than I probably should. That's because once I find something I like, I find it difficult to switch things up, but now that I've got HyperX's ridiculously customizable rodent as part of my setup, I genuinely might never have to deal with changing mice ever again. That ultimately helps the HyperX Pulsefire Saga take on even the best gaming mouse options out there, and if it sounds like your dream clicker, you'll want to grab one while it's $99.99 at Amazon. It'll normally set you back $119.99 without a discount, but this early Black Friday gaming deal helps it reach its lowest price yet.At a glance, the Pulsefire Saga could honestly pass for an office mouse. Yes, it has a splash of RGB on the top, but it's otherwise an unassuming ...

The Atrocious Playdate Is a Comedy Black Hole From Which No Buddy Can Escape

There was a moment, in the first 15 minutes of director Luke Greenfield’s new Prime Video action comedy Playdate, when I took the following note: “Is this going to be genuinely insufferable?”By the time I was halfway through, the answer had coalesced into an unmistakable, resounding yes. In more than a decade of reviewing films for Paste, I’ve rarely come across anything as vastly irritating and downright embarrassing as Playdate, a film that stars Kevin James and Alan Ritchson as a classic odd couple buddy pairing of awkward dads becoming embroiled in a mystery alongside their even more awkward sons. Is Playdate technically among the worst movies I’ve ever seen, then? Perhaps “worst movies” isn’t quite the right term, given that my passion for schlock and earnest failure has nursed multip...

Downtown accused of planning “calculated destruction” of a short-lived YouTube music client in bombastic new lawsuit

Downtown Music has been sued for breach of contract and fraudulent inducement by Blast Off Media, a company that provides music for YouTube creators, after a new distribution deal between the two companies fell apart almost immediately earlier this year.In a lawsuit high on drama, Blast Off says this legal battle centres on the “calculated destruction” of its business by Downtown, which “manufactured a pretext” to almost immediately terminate a distribution deal it signed up to in August after getting “buyer’s remorse”. Blast Off’s lawyers also theorise that the politics surrounding Universal Music’s controversial acquisition of Downtown contributed to the sudden and rapid termination of their client’s deal. And, not only that, but that “this case exemplifies precisely the type of conduct ...

Apple Games App iOS 26: Gaming Ecosystem Revolution

Apple's gaming ecosystem is undergoing a massive transformation that many tech enthusiasts are missing. Hardware grabs the headlines, sure. Meanwhile, Apple has been quietly assembling what could be the biggest gaming platform shift since the original App Store. The trigger is simple, and kind of bold. Apple introduced a standalone Games app with iOS 26, a change that reshapes how we discover and play across the entire Apple lineup. It is not just another app update, it is a strategic repositioning that consolidates discovery across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV into one place. That foundation gives Apple Arcade room to stretch. Apple Arcade continuing to expand with 15 new games this holiday season pushes the catalog past 250 titles, a quiet signal that Apple’s gaming plans sit well beyo...
