UWF Dr. Grier Williams School of Music presents the UWF Runge Strings in concert

The University of West Florida Dr. Grier Williams School of Music will present the UWF Runge Strings in concert. The performance will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the Rolfs Music Hall at the Center for Fine and Performing Arts on the UWF Pensacola campus. In their first concert of the season, the UWF Runge Strings will perform Vivaldi’s “Summer” from Le Quattro Stagioni (The Four Seasons) featuring Dr. Leonid Yanovskiy as the violin soloist, joined by Dr. Hedi Salanki on the harpsichord. Southeastern Oklahoma State University and the Tribal Education Initiative at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV)’s William F. Harrah College of Hospitality announced a partnership to educate and prepare students for careers in Tribal gaming and hospitality enterprises in a ceremony on the Southeastern campus on Monday, November 10, 2025. The ceremony featured the signing of a 2+2 articulation agreement opening doors for Southeastern students to seamlessly transfer credits to UNLV’s College of Hospitality, where they can complete their bachelor’s degree with a focus on Tribal Gaming or Hospitality Management. Hard Rock casino opening near I-5 Grapevine – The Press Democrat

Hard Rock Tejon will open this week off Interstate 5 near Bakersfield, with its first phase offering 24-hour gaming and dining. The casino’s official opening is set for Thursday, Nov. 13, said an announcement by Hard Rock International in partnership with the Tejon Indian Tribe. The complex is in the Kern County community of Mettler, near the I-5/Highway 99 split. At its opening, it will have a 150,000-square-foot gaming floor with table games and more than 2,000 slot machines, plus restaurants including Hard Rock Cafe. The second phase will add a hotel with a pool and spa and a live entertainment venue. No date has been set for that opening. Tejon is the second Hard Rock casino in California.
