Will A Stranger Things Movie Ever Happen? The Duffer Brothers Provide An Answer

Netflix won the streaming wars a long time ago, but thus far the company has been reluctant, nay downright hostile, towards the idea of sending its movies to the multiplex. Sure, "KPop Demon Hunters" got a theatrical release in 2025 (which was good news all round), but otherwise, the streamer has done all it can to avoid similar releases for its other big IP. However, it appears the company is rethinking its position on this issue, as it's now set to premiere the "Stranger Things" series finale in theaters at the end of 2025 (which is certainly befitting for just about the biggest cultural phenomenon yet produced by the king of the... Ethan Hawke’s Most Overlooked Movie Is One Of The Best Time Travel Stories Ever

If scientists are to be believed — and they probably should be — time travel is really finicky, particularly when it comes to going backwards in time. That's one thing most Hollywood movies get wrong when tackling time travel stories. For example, a causal loop or the bootstrap paradox — theoretical or not — is not generally factored into how time travel plots work. The term was originally coined by science fiction author Robert A. Heinlein who, coincidentally, is the author of the original book "All You Zombies," which is what "Predestination" is based on — the movie of focus here.A bootstrap occurs when an object, snippet of information, or person is sent back in time and is infinitely trapped in a cause-effect loop, because it no longer has a point of origin or start. "The Terminator's"...

Phil Spencer has reported that the cloud gaming hours on Xbox’s Game Pass have increased by 45% year-over-year, claiming that this development has made gaming “more accessible than ever”

According to Microsoft's Phil Spencer, the usage of Xbox Game Pass cloud services is on the rise. Spencer, the CEO of Gaming at Microsoft, shared in a statement on LinkedIn that the company is working towards making gaming more accessible. He noted, "One way we measure progress is by looking at engagement, and the momentum is encouraging: Game Pass cloud hours have grown by 45% compared to the same period last year. Console gamers are streaming 45% more on consoles and 24% more on other devices." The First Martial Arts Movie Released 55 Years Ago Today

The martial arts movie genre, as we know it today, is officially 55 years old. Over the years, we've been treated to hundreds of excellent martial arts classics, from Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon, to Jean-Claude Van Damme's Bloodsport, to Jackie Chan's Drunken Master. But all of them, regardless of subgenre and era they released in, owe a doubt to one film, which has just reached a massive milestone. Several movies and filmmakers have received considerable recognition for the impact they've had on martial arts movies as a medium, with no single individual getting more credit than Bruce Lee. But though the star did play a heavy hand in the launch of "the kung fu craze" and Bruce Lee's career did coincide closely with the start of the martial arts movie genre, he wasn't responsible for th...

ZZ Top Songs: The Stories and Cultural Impact of Their Iconic Music Videos

When most people think of ZZ Top, the first images that come to mind are the slick long beards, shiny suits, pretty girls, and fast cars. However, what is now considered the band's iconic style and sound did not occur naturally, and it certainly wasn't the way the band looked and sounded when they started. This article explores ZZ Top's deliberate transformation from a "little ol' band from Texas" to MTV's darlings. The Birth of ZZ Top's Video EraZZ Top was founded in 1969 and consisted of guitarist Billy F. Gibbons, bassist Dusty Hill, and drummer Frank Beard. Their high-energy Texas blues style involved Gibbons and Hill taking turns on vocal duties and had a unique blend of classic blues riffs and licks, raw guitar sounds, and a distinctive Texan boogie-woogie feel. The humorous and sexua...

Loads of classic, family-friendly board games are half price or close for Black Friday and I’ve found 17 of them

Amazon has been killing it when it comes to board game deals. I should know, I'm practically searching for them on the daily. Call it a bad habit, but I've spent far too much money on board games in the past few years. Maybe this is why I can't afford a house. Thankfully, events like Black Friday roll around and, thanks to the masses of cheap board games, I can finally feel less guilty about padding out my board game collection with healthy deals, rather than padding out my credit card with more debt. This year I've got a selection of classic and modern board game deals, everything from the grandfather of eurogames, Catan, now down to just $24.99 at Amazon; to cheap and cheerful games that don't involve too much brainpower, like Throw Throw Burrito at just at just $9.99.Whether you're a "si...
