Proof that OLED gaming monitors are finally dropping in price: These two 27-inch beauties are $400 each this Black Friday

I think it's fair to say that most of us want an OLED gaming monitor. Trouble is, they're expensive, right?Yes, that's right. I'm not going to look you in the eye and tell you that any OLED gaming monitor is "cheap" right now. However, they are dropping in price significantly at the moment, as we're finding on our Black Friday gaming monitor deals page, and that's a trend I hope to see continuing as time goes on.These two 27-inch 1440p OLED gaming monitors represent the cheap-est we've been able to find this Black Friday, each retailing for $400. That's about the lowest we've ever seen OLED gaming displays going for, making either monitor an excellent pick for those who fancy a gorgeous display upgrade in time for the holidays without breaking the bank.Specs-wise, they're also pretty close...

The Worst Christmas Movie Ever Is About To Leave Netflix

There are plenty of Christmas movies that can’t be missed during the holiday season, but this Christmas movie soon departing Netflix’s streaming library isn’t one of them. Movies like Miracle on 34th Street, A Christmas Story, Elf, and Home Alone are classics and essential viewings this time of year. Other holiday films haven’t been as well-received, including one Christmas movie that has been described as “an abomination” of a film. You won’t find Christmas with the Kranks on lists of best Christmas movies. In fact, the film usually places near the top of lists about the worst Christmas movies ever made, and we can’t say it’s not deserving of that placement. The film, directed by Joe Roth from a screenplay by Chris Columbus, centers around two empty-nesters as they decide to skip Chr...

I Finally Watched Nick Offerman’s Sovereign, And I Think It’s One Of The Best Movies This Year

At the time of this writing, I have watched 119 movies from the 2025 release schedule. A lot of those are good, more are bad, and some are great. Well, I had one of the biggest surprises of the year a few days ago when I stumbled upon Sovereign with my Hulu subscription. The movie stars Nick Offerman as Jerry Kane, a real-life sovereign citizen who made news in 2010 for a bloody and deadly shootout with West Memphis police. When I saw the trailer earlier in the year (and when I saw a clip of a heated courtroom scene on Twitter), I thought this was going to be a run-of-the-mill drama based on a true story that painted its characters with broad strokes and would treat them as caricatures. I was wrong, and this honestly ended up being one of the best films I’ve seen all year. (Image credit:...

Does Tesla Make You Pay To Play Music In the Car?

A new member of the Tesla owner’s club gets a rude awakening one day on her way to work. All of a sudden, she can’t figure out how to stream music. Here’s what happened. TikTok creator Alison Johnson (@fitnesswithalison) is a fitness instructor who recently purchased a Tesla.  “So I recently joined the Tesla family,” she says to start the video, which she posted over the weekend. “I’m getting in my car this morning and I’m like, ‘OK, I’m gonna play some jams.’ It says ‘premium connectivity required.’” That leads Johnson to believe she needs to subscribe to $10 service to continue her music streaming habits. She also notes that she can’t access her GPS system either. “I can’t play music if I [dont’t] upgrade $10 per month,” she says. “Where’s the auxiliary plug thing? Can I just plug my pho...

Dispatch Didn’t Bring Episodic Gaming Back, It Was Just Ignored Until Now

When people think of episodic gaming, the name most likely to pop into their head is Telltale Games. Pioneers of the term, the company made a suite of games using the release model of periodic content drops for IP-based games like The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, and others. But back in 2018, the company closed its doors. Some claim that episodic gaming died with it and has only recently been revived through Ad Hoc Studio’s Dispatch. But the truth is, episodic gaming never left. It just took on a form that many in the industry choose to ignore.  In the intervening years between 2018 and 2025, episodic gaming was adopted into a different area of the hobby: live-service games. While many people think of live-service as PvP games like Call of Duty or Marvel Rivals, many live-service games...

Quentin Tarantino begins his best movies of the 21st Century list with a nuclear hot take: “I don’t think Scorsese has made a film this exciting [this century]”

Legendary – and frequently outspoken – director Quentin Tarantino has unveiled the first half of his best 21st Century movies list, but it comes with a hot take so nuclear that I feel like my face is melting off, Ark of the Covenant style.Speaking on the Bret Easton Ellis Podcast, Tarantino began his top 20 with Steven Spielberg's 2021 remake of musical West Side Story – a critically acclaimed darling that was nominated for Best Picture and netted a Best Supporting Actress win for Ariana DeBose at the 94th Academy Awards."This is the one where Steven shows he still has it," Tarantino remarked (H/T Variety). "I don't think Scorsese has made a film this exciting [this century].” You may like An eyebrow-raising take, for sure – even if you're a major supporter of West Side Story (unfortuna...
