Ariana Grande is opening up about her speaking and singing voice, and how it’s changed for the Wicked movies. During an appearance on Good Hang With Amy Poehler, the 32-year-old eternal sunshine singer spoke about how she trained her voice to sound for taking on the role of Glinda in both movies, and how that voice changed over the course of the two movies. Keep reading to find out more… “I trained my voice for months before my first audition, because Glinda’s voice is so different than mine,” she explained to Amy. “I trained with my vocal coach, Eric Vetro, and it just takes muscle memory. So for weeks and weeks and weeks, I’d go every day. I was a coach on The Voice at the time, and I was going in the mornings to Eric and then my acting coach, Nancy Banks, and we would work on random thi...

Geoff Keighley denies he’s hiding Half-Life 3 in his Steam wishlist, posts a screenshot to prove it, nobody believes him, and I’m starting to wonder if he’s just messing with us

Half-Life 3 fever has been running hot this week, for reasons—and I use that term loosely—we laid out here, which can very generally be described as "it's November and we're all a little bored and restless." One small bit of pseudo-evidence did catch my eye, though: As PC Gamer's freest man Tyler Wilde noted, "Geoff Keighley posted a 👀 emoji." What? The whole thing began innocently enough—or at least so it appeared. Keighley, host of The Game Awards, posted a message on X urging his followers to "Check out #TheGameAwards nominee page on Steam to celebrate the best of the year." He attached an image of the Steam front page, which—because he was logged in at the time—revealed that he has precisely one game in his wishlist. Converge’s New Single Is Exactly What Heavy Music Needs Right Now

Converge band members left to right: Nate Newton (bassist), Ben Koller (drummer), Jacob Bannon (vocalist), Kurt Ballou (guitarist).Jason ZuccoThere’s something missing in modern heavy music. It’s hard to put a finger on exactly what’s missing, partly because it’s not just one thing rather it’s a multitude of aspects. For one, the commercialization of heavy music has been a double edged sword – while it’s nice to see heavy bands marching to the forefront of pop-culture, much of the aggressive music coming out today has adopted this commercialized template which often produces sterile and formulaic music. Converge on the other hand, the revered New England outfit who helped pioneer the metalcore genre, could not be further from these tropes. Since the late 90s Converge has produced a wide ar...

Now that I’ve learned the cost per shot of weapons in Arc Raiders, I’m an even bigger fan of my beloved Stitcher

The best guns in Arc Raiders are a surprisingly subjective thing. As objectively powerful as the Anvil is, and I do love it, I won't hide the fact that I think I actually prefer using the common Ferro instead. My favourite weapon so far, though, has to be the Stitcher; it's a breeze to use against other players.Until now, it's largely been a 'vibe' thing for me. Simply put, I like the way the Stitcher, Ferro, and Anvil feel compared to competition like the Kettle, Arpeggio, and Torrente, among others. And that's lucky for me now that I've seen the maths behind it all.Content creator 'Min Max Lab', who's been doing a bunch of excellent Arc Raiders science experiments lately, has worked out the efficiency of the most common and popular weapons by weighing up their max durability, how much is...

Before they find Nashville, country music’s greatest find Billy Bob’s

"The World's Largest Honky-Tonk," has attracted some of the world's biggest stars over the years. FORT WORTH, Texas — The legends and tales of country music’s greatest performers aren’t just told at Billy Bob’s Texas; they’re etched into every corner of the building. And General Manager Marty Travis knows them all. “I think this was Trisha (Yearwood’s) ex-boyfriend,” Travis says while pointing to an “X” marked on the wall of the backstage green room. “Garth (Brooks) came and put the X through the guy’s name.” Wednesday night in Nashville, country music’s greatest will be celebrated at the Country Music Association Awards. ...

Saros throws anything that slowed Returnal down out the door, meaning it’ll be tough for other games to keep pace with my most anticipated PS5 game of 2026

I'm so all-in on Saros that even its developers would probably tell me to reign it in a bit. But who can blame me? The last game from Housemarque, Returnal, is my favorite game on PS5. A neon nightmare of a third-person shooter that's the perfect roguelike for when I need a brutal break from Hades' upbeat chatterboxes. I still do the daily challenge from time to time to try and top the leaderboard. Have I ever topped it? We're not here to discuss that today, we're here to nod and agree with my correct take that their next game, Saros, is the PS5 game to beat in 2026.This spiritual successor is Returnal 2 in all but name (Re2urnal? Oh, God no). It's another intense particle-effect showcase of a shooter, trading Returnal's icy blues for blazing golds. But Saros is more than just a pretty res...
