One Of Tom Holland’s Upcoming Movies Got Hit With A Big Setback, And It’s Bad News For Anyone Who Likes Seeing His Dance Moves

Next year is shaping up to be a big one for Tom Holland, as he has both Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Odyssey releasing on the 2026 movies schedule. Beyond that, it’s unclear what movie he’ll tackle next, but the chances of one of them moving forward just plummeted. This is even worse news for those of you who like seeing Holland bust out his dance moves for roles.Back in 2021, during the promotional circuit for Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tom Holland revealed that he’d play Fred Astaire in a movie about the actor/dancer/singer who was Hollywood’s most famous stars for a large chunk of the 20th century. Four years later, there haven’t been any major updates on where things stand with the Sony Pictures biopic, but Astaire’s widow, Robyn Smith Astaire, is determined to make sure it never ge...

FSR Redstone debuts in Black Ops 7, supported only by AMD’s latest cards

AMD has announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7's debut on PC will feature FSR “Redstone” Ray Regeneration, an AI capability that improves the quality of ray tracing effects. Additionally, FSR AI Frame Generation will be included in the game through a post-launch update. Black Ops 7 is the inaugural title to implement one of AMD’s “Redstone” AI functionalities. Unfortunately, it does not support the complete FSR 4 “Redstone” feature set. This indicates that AMD’s Neural Radiance Caching technology and ML Frame Generation features will not be included. However, Black Ops 7 will launch with support for AMD’s FSR 4 AI upscaler. AMD’s Ray Regeneration technology serves as an alternative to Nvidia’s DLSS Ray Reconstruction technology. It leverages AI to recreate pixels that might not be accu...

Review: ‘Piranha’ — Joe Dante’s B-Movie Take on ‘Jaws’ | by Reece Beckett | Counter Arts | Nov, 2025

This 1978 cult classic certainly doesn’t live up to its Spielbergian inspirationPress enter or click to view image in full sizeStill from Piranha, via New World Pictures/Chako Film Company/Metro-Goldwyn-MayerOn December 18th, 1946, Steven Spielberg was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. And — so long as his 2022 semi-autobiographical film The Fabelmans is to be trusted — the young Spielberg grew up in a middle class setting falling head over heels in love with large Hollywood studio films (the opening scene of The Fabelmans sees a young Spielberg both thrilled and horrified by a train crash sequence in Cecil B. DeMille’s 1952 Best Picture winner The Greatest Show on Earth, a sequence he attempts to re-create in his first ever cinematic outings at home) alongside a steady stream of mainstream wester...

I’m a classical music critic

I may be cancelled for saying so, but the West End's longest running musical, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, would make Puccini proud Do you hear the people sing? I only ask because, at last count, over 130 million people have. Pushing 50,000 professional performances in almost 50 countries across the globe, Les Misérables – the West End’s longest-running musical, and the second-longest-running in the world – celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. Not bad for an adaptation of a 1500-page 19th-century French novel that includes lengthy disquisitions on the Parisian sewer system, monastic orders, and a play-by-play of the Battle of Waterloo. So what’s the show’s secret? As a classical music critic I may be cancelled for saying so, but ...

There have been 20 new Prime Video movies in 2025 so far — here are the 3 worth watching

Calling Prime Video’s slate of original movies in 2025 a mixed bag would be charitable. If I were being harsh, I could say the streaming service has been offering subscribers mostly skippable movies over the last almost 11 months.I was excited for new Prime Video movies like “Holland” and “Another Simple Favor,” but they fell way below my expectations, and even the ones with lower anticipation levels, like “You’re Cordially Invited,” “The Pickup” and “The Map That Leads to You,” were far from worthwhile. The less said about Ice Cube’s truly bizarre modern take on “The War of the Worlds,” the better.Fortunately, there have been at least a few new Prime Video movies released in 2025 so far that I can recommend you add to your watchlist. So, looking over the 20 (English-language) original mov...

Black Ops 7 has problems, but Call of Duty recognizes where the wind is blowing: The triumphant return of loose SBMM and persistent lobbies in the FPS

FOV 90 (Image credit: Future)Welcome to FOV 90, an FPS column from staff writer Morgan Park. Every week, I'll be covering a topic relevant to first-person shooter enjoyers, spanning everything from multiplayer and singleplayer to the old and the new.My first night with Black Ops 7 went as well as expected. After scoping out the first few missions of the bizarre co-op campaign with friends, we hopped into 6v6 multiplayer, making a point to stick to the "open" playlists with "minimal" skill-based matchmaking. As I feared after the open beta, Black Ops 7 is shaping up to be another weak year for Call of Duty multiplayer, shining a light on the series' streak of diminishing returns. Much like Modern Warfare 3 (2023) to Modern Warfare 2 (2022), Blops 7 is very much an expensive expansion for ...
