is there someone out there exactly right for you?

Across history, humans have always been drawn to the idea that love isn't random. In ancient Greece, Plato imagined that we were once whole beings with four arms, four legs and two faces, so radiant that Zeus split us in two; ever since, each half has roamed the earth searching for its missing other, a myth that gives the modern soulmate its poetic pedigree and the promise that somewhere, someone will finally make us feel complete. Rare, dangerous side effects of some COVID-19 vaccines explained

Science news storyIn February 2021, soon after the first COVID-19 vaccines were rolled out in Europe, hematologist Sabine Eichinger of the Medical University of Vienna was confronted with a disturbing case: a 49-year-old nurse who had unusual blood clots and uncontrollable bleeding after receiving AstraZeneca’s vaccine. The woman died, and Eichinger could not get the case out of her head. The vaccine seemed to be the only plausible explanation for her symptoms, and Eichinger worried what that might mean for its future. “I could barely sleep,” she says. Eichinger even attended the patient’s autopsy, hoping it would turn up some other explanation. When it didn’t, she turned to hematologist Andreas Greinacher of the University of Greifswald, who had spent decades studying a rare, strikingly si...

God of War Sons of Sparta Spin-off Out Today, and God of War Trilogy Remake Announced | Sony State of Play

Sony finished tonight's State of Play broadcast with confirmation of a God of War Trilogy Remake project, and the surprise shadow drop of a side-scrolling spinoff — God of War Sons of Sparta — that launches today.TC Carson, the original voice of Kratos, popped up to confirm the projects — and presumably his involvement in them. The original God of War launched back in 2005 for PS2, with its sequel arriving two years later. God of War 3, for PS3, then debuted in 2010.No release date for the God of War Trilogy Remake was announced, and apparently work is still in its "early stages." Indeed, today's look at the game amounted to little more than a few logos — but for fans of Kratos' beloved Greek shenanigans, they are thrilling logos to see once more:God of War Sons of Sparta, meanwhile, is a ...

Monster Hunter Stories 3 Preview: Me and My Pet Rathalos

At some point, somebody at Capcom must have looked at Monster Hunter and said, out loud, “You know, the monsters in this bad boy are actually pretty cute. And there’s these talking cats, and they’re pretty cute, too. We’re kinda leaving money on the table by not making this a turn-based monster-capturing RPG.” And the executives did grin, and the sky opened, and the money rained down. And they saw that that somebody was right, and they said, “We gotta make more of these.”Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is the third one of these, in fact, if the number didn’t give it away, so that somebody’s idea had some staying power, but it’s this writer’s first. Not my first Monster Hunter; like most folks in the West, mine was Monster Hunter World. But it’s the first one of these babies. A...
