Plumas Arts invites the community to gather for an intimate evening of live music and celebration on Sunday, March 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Capitol Arts Gallery for a CD release party and concert for “Among Friends” by Holly Sternberg Kozan.
Rooted in Celtic traditions — Irish, Scottish and Breton — while weaving in Quebecois and Scandinavian influences, “Among Friends” is a richly layered album created in collaboration with more than 30 musicians from across multiple states. Each track carries its own story, shaped by the distinct spirit and artistry of those who brought it to life.
“Music is a wondrous thing; it breathes life into the air around us. It tells tales old and new and unlocks our deepest emotions,” says Kozan. “It connects shared memory and weaves together the fabric of community. This album is my tribute to all the beautiful souls who have been part of my journey. As you listen, I hope you feel what it is to be among friends.”
The March 15 event will feature live selections from the album at the Capitol Arts Gallery, 525 Main St. in Quincy. Organizers say guests can expect an evening that celebrates collaboration, connection and the power of music to bring people together. A cash bar will be available.
Admission costs $20 with children 11 and under admitted free. Tickets are available at plumasarts.org.
