Celtics taking on Kristaps Porzingis, Warriors – NBC Sports Boston

The Boston Celtics will begin the second half of their 2025-26 season with a Thursday night showdown against the Golden State Warriors.

Former Celtics standouts Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford will suit up for Golden State in their first game against Boston since parting ways last summer. The Warriors acquired Porzingis from the Atlanta Hawks before the NBA trade deadline, and Horford signed with Golden State in free agency before the season.

The C’s (35-19) hope to pick up where they left off after finishing the first half as the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. The Warriors (29-26) are currently the No. 8 seed in the West.

Warriors superstar Stephen Curry (knee) has been ruled out for Thursday’s matchup. Jayson Tatum (Achilles) is the only player out for the Celtics.
