Chappell Roan has been flexing her beauty chameleon muscle this week while jaunting about Paris Fashion Week.
Just yesterday, the “Good Luck, Babe!” singer surprised fans with a (faux?) bob at the Acne fall/winter show. But by the next day, she was sitting front row at Rick Owens’ Fall 2026 ready-to-wear collection with a remarkably different hairstyle.
The intricate half-up, half-down ‘do was created by hairstylist Lacy Redway and included both structural and braided details reminiscent of Madonna’s signature braided look on her 1990 “Blond Ambition World Tour.” Roan’s take on the iconic look? Blonde ambition, but be a fiery redhead and add a dash of alien glamour.

Makeup artist Andrew Dahling kept the otherworldly drama going with a purple eyeshadow look and taupe lip that coordinated perfectly with Roan’s outfit, which included a draped top from Owens’ 2017 spring collection.
Eagle-eyed fans may also notice that Roan’s naturally blue eyes were purple for the event, adding to the overall cohesion of the look. Colored contacts are a rite of passage at a Rick Owens show, with models typically wearing full-sclera pairs on the runway.
“I love that he brought purple back ‘cause I’m in the archival purple,” she said after the show, declaring the glam—which included oversized candy-colored lashes by Daniel Sallstrom—was “amazing.”
With plenty more to come from Paris Fashion Week, we can only hope to see more dramatic beauty transformations from Roan.
