For this shoot, Chemena Kamali turns her camera toward the fitting, back inside the offices of Chloé, far from the choreography of the runway. Racks along the walls, mirrors catching fragments of silhouettes, clothes slipping on and off in real time. No spectacle—just the collection in conversation with the body.
At 44, Kamali’s presence at the helm of Chloé feels layered. This is her third time at the Parisian house—and everyone knows the third time’s a charm. She first worked at the house under Phoebe Philo, absorbing a certain rigor and ease, then came back years later under Clare Waight Keller. Appointed creative director in October 2023, she now leads the studio she once navigated as part of the team—this time with the final word.
Kamali selected women who felt aligned with her vision of Chloé: instinctive, grounded, and modern. The images unfold almost like an auteur film, documenting process rather than perfection. It’s less about staging a narrative than about witnessing one take shape—inside the very rooms where her own story with Chloé began.
