Samsung’s Chromebook lineup may be small, but it now comes with a big perk. Anyone buying the Galaxy Chromebook Plus, or any other Chromebook, can claim a full year of free access to NVIDIA’s GeForce Now cloud gaming service. Google and NVIDIA have partnered to offer a 12-month Fast Pass subscription, though it’s still unclear how long this promotion will remain available.
Get a year of Fast Pass subscription to NVIDIA’s GeForce Now with new Chromebooks
Chromebooks have never been considered true gaming machines, but they’re far from incapable. In fact, they’ve become surprisingly competent for casual gaming as Google continues to refine the experience. Over the past few years, the company has added RGB keyboards, boosted hardware capabilities, and expanded peripheral support, making Chromebooks more appealing to casual gamers.
This new partnership with NVIDIA further enhances the gaming appeal of Chromebooks. You can stream games and 1080p and 60fps, with priority entry into game sessions ahead of free users. A Fast Pass subscription to GeForce Now also eliminates ads while launching games.
GeForce NOW links directly to your existing game libraries from platforms like Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox, and others, so you don’t need to repurchase anything. Just connect your accounts and instantly stream from a catalog of over 2,000 PC titles, ranging from big-budget AAA releases to fan-favorite indie games.
There is one catch, though: you only get 10 hours of premium access per month. Once you exhaust your 10 hours, the experience reverts to free-tier limitations, meaning ads and longer queue times. Thankfully, you can roll over up to five hours of unused time to the next month.
This promotion is clearly targeted at casual gamers. Google is positioning Chromebooks as a gateway to accessible, low-cost gaming. If this sounds exciting to you, Samsung’s Galaxy Chromebook Plus is currently available at just $549. You can bundle the Galaxy Buds 3 for $42 more (regular price $179).
