The City of Victorville has received a clean financial audit for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025. The independent audit found the City’s financial statements and expenditures to be accurate and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
“The audit results demonstrate our ongoing commitment to managing public funds responsibly and transparently,” said Victorville Mayor Liz Becerra. “Year after year, Victorville maintains strong financial practices while planning for the long-term needs of our community.”
The City’s general fund balance represents approximately 16 months of operating expenditures, a level City Officials said reflects consistent oversight, disciplined budgeting and strong internal controls. The City undergoes an independent review of its financial records and internal controls every year to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
“This audit confirms that Victorville continues to operate with financial stability and integrity with strong internal controls and a disciplined fiscal approach,” said City Manager Keith Metzler.
While the audit reflects sustained fiscal responsibility, long-term planning remains essential as operational costs, infrastructure needs, and public safety responsibilities continue to grow.
The fiscal year 2024-2025 annual financial audit was received and filed by the City Council at a recent public meeting, with the report available for viewing here.
