Clocks go forward one hour in Greece this Sunday as daylight saving time begins Greek City Times

Greece will move clocks forward by one hour early Sunday morning, marking the start of daylight saving time for 2026.

At 3:00 a.m. on March 29, clocks will be set forward to 4:00 a.m., effectively shortening the night by one hour while extending evening daylight.

The seasonal time change will remain in effect until the last Sunday of October, which this year falls on October 25, when clocks will be turned back again.

Daylight saving time is observed across most European countries, aiming to make better use of natural daylight during the warmer months.

However, the practice has been the subject of ongoing debate within the European Union for more than a decade. While EU institutions have previously expressed support for abolishing the twice-yearly clock changes, member states have yet to reach a final agreement.

As a result, daylight saving time continues to be applied across the bloc.
