Clogs Are Having a Spring Resurgence—Shop the Best Pairs

Click-clack, click-clack—do you hear that? That’s the sound of clogs slowly stomping back into the spotlight. After a brief re-acquaintance last year (thanks to Chloé and Miu Miu who welcomed the silhouette back), the ’70s staple emerges as a key spring 2026 shoe trend—seen on the runways of Bottega Veneta, Simone Rocha, and Zimmermann.

Vogue’s Favorite Clogs:

The clog, defined by its wooden sole, has humble beginnings. The style dates back to the 13th century, where it served as protection for Dutch farmers from heavy industrial equipment; wooden flip-flops were also worn in feudal Japan to keep feet and kimono hems clean from mud and rain. The shoe returned to the zeitgeist in the late ’60s and ’70s as an anchor of the bohemian uniform.

They’re firmly back in fashion this year—true to form in woven leather and suede; as modern interpretations with PVC and crystal embellishment. More supportive and durable than sandals but just as easy to slip on and go, clogs are a chic footwear option for summer dressing. Pair a platform style with dresses and statement skirts, or choose one with a subtle heel to elevate jeans and shorts—they work with just about anything.

Plenty of cool-girls—Alexa Chung, Zendaya, and Daisy Edgar-Jones—have co-signed the shoe over the years for its off-duty cool. Perhaps you’re of the same mind; if not, maybe you’re just coming around to them now. Whatever side of the divide you’re on, spring’s best clogs are sure to charm. Shop our favorites, below.
