Riley Green just started acting. Now it’s time for Ella Langley to give it a try.
The “Worst Way” singer just made his television debut on Marshals, the latest spinoff of the hit drama Yellowstone. He played a former Navy SEAL named Garrett who calls upon Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) and Cal (Logan Marshall-Green) to help him “put the demons of his past to rest.”
Working with Taylor Sheridan has proven to be a pathway to on-screen success. Just ask Lainey Wilson and Faith Hill. But Green’s partner on “You Look Like You Love Me” wants to blaze her own trail. We have the details below.
Ella Langley Wants To Star in a Horror Movie
If you pay attention to the box office, then you know horror is big right now. For example, Scream 7 made over $97 million dollars worldwide over the weekend.
But Langley doesn’t seem to be interested in following trends. When she recently appeared on The Jesse James Morning Show, the “Choosin’ Texas” singer sounded like she’s a true fan of the genre.
“But I really want to do a horror movie,” she said. “That’s like one of my big goals. Like an old school horror movie, not like this stuff that you can’t put on and let your daddy walk through the room.”
We never pegged Langley as a horror movie fan. Judging from this quote, not only is she manifesting her goals, but she is also telling Hollywood it needs to step up its game when it comes to making scary movies.
We now have so many questions for Langley. But more importantly, it looks like the ball is in the studio’s court to make this happen.
“Choosin’ Texas” Reached the Top Spot
It’s been a big year for Langley. Last month, the star asked her fans for their help to get “Choosin’ Texas” all the way to the top spot.
“I’m being told we’re neck and neck on getting the #1 and if we have one last push on iTunes, we might make country music history!” she explained. “Less than 10 women in country music have gotten a #1 on Billboard.”
Not only did she succeed, but Langley was also the first woman to have the top song on the Hot 100, Hot Country Songs, and Country Airplay Charts. Her second album, Dandelion, comes out next month.
