The 2026 Mahomet Music Festival is set for August 28, and 29 in downtown Mahomet, Illinois. The free, family-friendly festival returns with two full days of live music, food, carnival rides, and a community parade.
Veteran country artist Craig Morgan will headline the Main Stage at 9:00 p.m. on August 29. Morgan, a Kingston Springs, Tennessee native and U.S. Army veteran, has charted 18 singles inside the country Top 40 over his 25-year career, including seven Top 10 hits. His breakout single “That’s What I Love About Sunday” spent four weeks at No. 1 in 2005, and beloved hits like “International Harvester,” “Redneck Yacht Club,” and “Almost Home” have made him a fan favorite at festivals and fairs across the country.
Morgan will be preceded on Saturday evening by Shane Profitt at 7:30 p.m. Profitt, a 26-year-old BMLG Records artist has been turning heads in Nashville since his 2022 debut single “How It Oughta Be”. He was named one of Taste of Country’s RISERS: 2026 Artists to Watch, and has already earned standing ovations at the Grand Ole Opry and sold-out shows at the Ryman Auditorium.
The festival kicks off Friday evening when vendors, crafters, the food court, and the Lions Club Beer Garden. Zakk Thompkins, a singer-songwriter from Central Illinois, will open Friday’s main stage lineup with an acoustic set at 6:15 p.m. He will be followed at 7:00 p.m. by Ninety’s Daughter, a Central Illinois-based party band celebrated as Champaign/Urbana’s Best Band, known for performing the biggest hits of the ’90s, 2000s, and today.
Capping off Friday night is the rowdy, raucous Hairbangers Ball at 9:00 p.m. The Midwest’s most sought-after 80s glam metal tribute band has been performing for more than 25 years and routinely plays over 150 shows annually.
Saturday is the festival’s biggest day, opening with a 9:00 a.m. parade through downtown before vendors and the food court welcome guests at 10:30 a.m. Carnival rides run from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. (closed 4:00–5:00 p.m.), with two armband sessions available: Session 1 from noon to 4:00 p.m. and Session 2 from 6:00–10:00 p.m.
Riley Clemmons will serve as the Saturday morning headliner at 11:00 a.m. The Nashville-based Christian singer-songwriter has built a loyal following with her uplifting, faith-driven pop music. Clemmons has released three studio albums, including her most recent, Church Pew, in September 2023.
Before Shane Profitt and Craig Morgan take the stage Saturday evening, Illinois native Onoleigh will perform at 6:00 p.m. A Mahomet native, she spent years in Nashville honing her sound and released her debut EP in March 2025. Her lead single “Never Beg A Man,” released in September 2025.
