Demi Moore is continuing her sartorial dominance at Milan Fashion Week with an impossibly chic all-black outfit debuted on the heels of her most dramatic hair transformation ever. On Friday, February 27, the Ghost actress was spotted arriving at a dinner hosted by Gucci with her plus one Pilaf once again in tow.

Though Moore’s outfit was totally monochrome, the ensemble was anything but simple. It featured a delicate lace skirt covered in sparkling embellishments, a short-sleeve turtleneck, semi-sheer tights, a patchwork shawl made of alternating strips of sherpa and leather, and a pair of classic horsebit stilettos. The Substance actress opted for a wet hair look when it came to her freshly chopped bob.
Moore debuted her new haircut earlier today at Gucci’s ready-to-wear show, where she turned heads in a Matrix-coded leather outfit and giant aviator sunglasses. The main event, however, was obviously the hair. According to Moore’s hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos, they’re calling it the “Demi-tris BoB.”
“I wanted to give Demi a very bold and fashion-forward look for Demna’s show,” Giannetos told InStyle, referencing the designer’s first show for Gucci. “It is inspired by the silhouettes of the new collection. I felt an amazing, short, above the shoulder bob with this very sleek, wet texture would be perfect to complement her look.”
The hair stylist went on, “It’s a big change for Demi—we’ve never seen her like this before! She looks very cool, effortless, and modern. And it highlights her personality.”

While Moore has debuted several beauty transformations over the course of her long career in Hollywood, it has been many, many years since she went for such a dramatic chop. Most recently, she’s become quite the advocate for defying the idea that women of a certain age should avoid having long hair.

“I remember hearing someone say that when women get older, they shouldn’t have long hair,” Moore once said, per Hello!. “And something about that stuck with me. Like, who says? It made me feel like, well, if it can grow and it’s not unhealthy, then why shouldn’t we? I’m not comfortable with rules that don’t seem to have any real meaning or justification.”
