Defense Minister Nikos Dendias reiterated Greece’s support for Cyprus security during a meeting with President Nikos Christodoulides.

“These are difficult times for our wider region, but Greece wants to declare in the most categorical way – which involves both symbolism and substance – its intention to provide, as far as possible, within the framework of its forces and capabilities, whatever assistance it can to Cyprus and the Cypriot people,” Dendias told the Cypriot president in statements before the press.

He said he would discuss with his Cypriot counterpart, Vassilis Palmas, “the practical aspects” of this assistance. “We are completely and absolutely at your disposal,” he added.
