The Grizzlies were expected to host Game 2 between these Western Conference rivals, but Winter Storm Fern had other plans, as the league postponed the game and rescheduled it for tonight in Memphis. The Nuggets traveled to Memphis on Friday, but the league didn’t announce the postponement until late Sunday morning before tip off. The Nuggets lead this series 2-0 and have won by similar scores. They won Game 1, 125-115, in Memphis at the end of November and then Game 2, 122-116, in Denver on Feb. 11. All-Stars Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray led Denver to victory, with the former putting up a triple-double of 26 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists. Murray put up 22 points and was 4-for-4 at the foul line in the final seconds of the game to secure the win.
Denver is just 0.5 games back from being fourth in the West, even though it currently sits sixth. The Nuggets are trying to win four of their last five games, while trying to extend the injury-plagued Grizzlies losing streak to nine straight.

Denver is coming off a rout of the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday, winning 124-96 at home. Christian Braun led the club with 22 points, and Jokic finished the night with 14 assists. Like Memphis, Philadelphia was without many players, including Joel Embiid (who has missed his last six games in Denver), Tyrese Maxey, and Kelly Oubre Jr. It was an important win for Denver, keeping pace with the fifth-place Minnesota Timberwolves, who beat Phoenix on Tuesday.
Memphis’ struggles continued on Monday, with its eighth straight loss, a 132-107 blowout in Chicago against the Bulls. Josh Giddey put up his fourth triple-double in five games with 16 points, 15 rebounds, and 13 assists. Matas Buzelis led all scorers with 29 points, while Cedric Coward led Memphis with 17. The Grizzlies were without Zach Edey, Ja Morant, Ty Jerome, and G.G. Jackson, and they fell to 3-15 in their last 18 games. None of those players is expected to suit up against the Nuggets tonight.
