PHOENIX – The Phoenix Suns get a much-needed win over the Utah Jazz before their four-game road trip next week, thanks to the dominance by Devin Booker and Jalen Green. The guard duo had a field day on Saturday, combing for 57 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds. Green dominated the first half with 20 first half points, while Booker had a quiet 14 points in comparison.
The tandem completely controlled the third quarter, scoring or assisting on 29 of the team’s 35 points. Booker and Green flexed their scoring prowess to extend the lead so wide they sat the fourth quarter. Besides the win, Saturday’s game might’ve cemented the pair as one of the most dynamic duo in the NBA.

Green and Booker working together flawlessly:
Entering the season, Booker and Green were seen as an odd fit, seeing how they play the same position. Injuries to the 24-year-old didn’t help them build chemistry. Since recovering from his injuries, he has done a stellar job playing off Booker.
In the first half, Green was getting his shot via playing in the system and initiating the pass early in the possession, which allowed the ball to move and find him wide open. Getting those open shots allowed him to get comfortable and work on his iso game and driving towards the basket. Once the Jazz started to pressure Green, he has no problem letting the five-time All-Star go to work.

Booker scored 11 points in the third quarter and was due to his aggressiveness towards the basket. The 29-year-old found the mismatch and attacked often. Five third quarter free throws, with 10 in total, gave Booker plenty of confidence to run the show. Utah tried everything to shut down the 6’5 guard, but he used his stellar playmaking to find rookie center Khaman Maluach on multiple lob opportunities.
Green’s driving and shooting, while adding Booker’s playmaking and post work gives the Suns multiple layers offensively to score. On any given night, Booker or Green could put up 40, and with the upcoming Play-In tournament and playoffs, having that in do-or-die situations is critical.
