DPA Magazine | Pushing the boundaries of fashion innovation with 3D printing



Rohan Mirza is a designer known for blending art, technology and craftsmanship in his work. He explores innovative forms and materials, pushing the boundaries of design to create pieces that are both visually striking and technically sophisticated. 

When Mirza called upon Sculpteo’s services, he wanted to bring his digital concepts to life by creating high-quality 3D-printed armour. The aim was to explore new ways to merge design, art and technology, and to turn bold ideas into tangible creations, ready for the catwalk. For this, he needed a reliable partner capable of translating his creative vision into tangible, detailed pieces with professional finishing. 

Challenges
The project involved three key challenges:
1. Build an entire body-size armour with fine details
2. Use a soft material that would be adapted to body movements
3. Ensure fast production times so that the project would go from the design stage to the catwalk in just a few days
