Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Minister Christos Dimas conducted an on-site inspection last Friday of the construction site for the northern section of the E65 Central Greece Motorway and stressed that construction is now 93% complete.
Dimas traveled the 46-kilometer section under construction, from the Grevena junction on the Egnatia Highway to the Kalambaka junction.
These 46 kilometers constitute the remaining part of the project for the completion of the E65 Motorway, which will connect the Athens-Thessaloniki motorway with the Egnatia motorway, as the section from Lamia to Kalambaka has already been built and is in operation.
The northern section, currently under construction, is being financed by the Recovery and Resilience Fund with €452 million and is expected to open to traffic in the coming months, according to Dimas.
