Earl Scruggs Music Festival Unveils Packed Artist Lineup, Helmed by Béla Fleck, Greensky Bluegrass and The Avett Brothers
Earl Scruggs Music Festival, the annual gathering which honors the namesake three-fingered banjo picker, has unveiled the official artist lineup for its fifth annual Labor Day Weekend, Sept. 4-6, 2026. Held at the Tryon International Equestrian Center (Tryon International) in Mill Springs, N.C., the beloved occasion will boast a top-of-the-line roster of premier American roots artists, topped by Béla Fleck: My Bluegrass Heart, Greensky Bluegrass, and The Avett Brothers.
Along with the acts that make up the 2026 lineup, the folks behind the Earl Scruggs Music Festival have parsed the musical acts into daily slots and determined their placement on the schedule. Beginning Friday, Sept. 4, Fleck leads the list, which also includes The Earls of Leicester with Jerry Douglas, Alison Brown Quintet, Ronda Vincent & The Rage, Della Mae, Laurie Lewis & The Right Hands, Magoo, The Foreign Landers, Charly Lowry, Vickie Vaughn Band, Daniel Kimbro, and others.
The Saturday, Sept. 5 schedule is led by Greensky Bluegrass. It includes appearances by The Del McCoury Band, East Nash Grass, Special Consensus, Jacuzzi, The Scruggs Sessions Ft. Travis Book & Friends, Pickers Anonymous, The Foxhounds, and more. Sunday’s program ramps up more talented acts like The Avett Brothers, Mountain Grass Unit, Lindsay Lou, Rissi Palmer, Andy Falco & Travis Books play Jerry Garcia, and more must-see experiences.
As the event enters its fifth season and earned the 2025 International Bluegrass Music Association Event of the Year, the festival will launch the Louise Scruggs Stage in memory of Earl’s beloved wife and manager. According to the official press release, “The new stage will be located inside one of Tryon’s world-class equestrian arenas, offering an immersive experience that reflects the festival’s distinct setting.”
