We’re less than a month away from the premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2, which means it’s time to overhaul your closet. In all seriousness, I’ve revisited the original movie so many times and realized that many of the fashions featured then are coming back in style — like cerulean blue, bubble dresses and more. I wish I had kept some of those early 2000s staples. That said, the modern versions are so much better. Refresh your wardrobe in preparation for the movie with our favorite early aughts fashions that are back in style. Miranda Priestly would take notice!
The Devil Wears Prada Fashion Trends Making a Comeback
Cerulean Blue
1. Our Favorite: It’s still up for debate whether Miranda Priestly approved of cerulean. To avoid her wrath, this chunky oversized sweater makes chill nights at home extra comfy.
2. Dress for Success: Want to look instantly elegant? Grab these wide-leg pants in cerulean blue and you’ll own every room you walk into.
3. Beach-Ready: Cerulean blue is a divine choice for vacations, especially when it comes to swimwear. This sporty-chic one-piece might become your favorite suit of all time.
4. Miranda-Approved: If Miranda Priestly wore cerulean blue, it would 100% be this silk button-down blouse that’s equal parts professional and fun.

Florals for Spring…(Groundbreaking)
5. Our Favorite: You don’t need to be completely swathed in blossoms to participate in the florals trend. The dainty embroidered flowers on these Abercrombie jeans add a little spring flair to your average denim.
6. Prettiest Blouse: This dainty floral blouse is so flattering — and joy-inducing — you’ll want to wear it year-round (and you should!).
7. Evening Blooms: Florals take on a sophisticated aura in this high-neck silk slip dress that looks and feels totally timeless.
8. Peek-a-Boo: Little floral accents can complete your springtime outfit. If you aren’t a fan of floral prints, opt for these beautiful blooming earrings.
Bubble Dresses
9. Our Favorite: The girly bubble dress trend is made modern with this color-block drop waist design. Pair it with kitten heels for a night out on the town — or to go see The Devil Wears Prada 2.
10. Tres Chic: Between the full skirt, large polka-dot pattern and rose neckline, a lot is going on with this mini dress, but it all blends seamlessly together. Total Andy vibes!
11. Street Style Goddess: The bubble dress silhouette takes on a casual energy with this denim style. While the bottom maintains its flouncy silhouette, the structured shoulders and statement zipper make this a wearable work of art.
12. Easy Breezy: When you’re running late, you’ll be glad you have this strapless bubble dress you can slip into in seconds. It’s a foolproof outfit!
Bootcut Jeans
13. Our Favorite: I have a feeling Andy Sachs’ favorite jean style hasn’t changed much in 20 years. A quality bootcut style can last in your closet for decades!
14. Forever Classic: Levi’s jeans never go out of style, especially this high-rise bootcut silhouette.
15. Deep Dark: Indigo washes tend to be the most slimming. This elevated pair from Quince has a bit of stretch, so you’ll stay comfy from morning to night.
16. A Total Steal: A reliable pair of jeans for $35? Sign Us up! We’re buying multiple washes while the price is that low.
